Overlaps, chromaticisms, veils, geometries in harmony or confrontation, give birth to a universe of characters.  These, deformed or protected by masks in an incessant daily chaos, exhibit themselves in a tonal multiplicity, in a formal cacophony, a reflection of the constant mutations forced on the being by reality.

Armor or fur, scars or adornments, who you are yesterday, who you were tomorrow.
A visual exploration of the variations of the self in the face of immensity.

    Born in Barcelos (1992), Campinhos became a student at the Faculdade de Belas Artes do Porto in the Plastic Arts course. Later, he enrolled at the Escola Superior de Artes e Design (ESAD Matosinhos) where he finished with a bachelor in Communication Design.

    He lived a year in Poland where he came into contact with various mixed printing techniques. After some years of artistic production, in 2019 he was invited to an artistic residency at Hydra (Greece), where he shared and met numerous artists of distinct disciplines such as music, journalism, painting among many others.

    His work encompasses multiple mediums and techniques, exploring an anthropomorphic formalism distorted in the face of the society that surrounds the artist. He currently works in his studio situated at Bonfim, Porto.

    Nasceu em Barcelos ( 1992) e frequentou a Faculdade de Belas Artes do Porto no curso de Artes Plásticas. Mais tarde frequentou a  Escola Superior de Artes e Design (ESAD Matosinhos) onde se licenciou em  Design de Comunicação.  Viveu um ano na Polónia, onde teve em contacto com técnicas mistas de impressão.

    Após alguns anos de produção artística, em 2019 foi convidado para uma residência artística em Hidra (Grécia) onde partilhou e conheceu artistas de distintas áreas, como música, jornalismo, pintura, entre outras. O seu trabalho abrange diversos suportes e técnicas, abordando o formalismo antropomórfico distorcido perante a sociedade que rodeia o artista. Actualmente produz no seu estúdio, situado na zona de Bonfim do Porto.
